…covered in scars…

So, Lisa over on FB got me going, and now I’m on a rant. She asked “doesn’t anyone realize that Obama’s economic redistribution of wealth is socialism?” The answer of course is yes. Every educated person in the US has known that since the “New Deal” that we have been working further and further down a path to socialism.

But there are far too many uneducated people voting, and the academic elite seem to be in favor of this form of Government. I’m not sure why. No one that takes this stance has anything like a rational argument of their views. It’s more of a “Rich” are bad, and the “Poor” must be helped stance.

This is a personal issue for me, not some abstract discussion. I watched “welfare” programs destroy my mother. She basically didn’t work her entire life, and there was no need to. Just put your hand out for the handout, and the democrats will provide. When she discovered she had lung cancer she got to work, and then promptly died.

I’m not saying we should not help others. I’m saying that the government has no place in this matter. But, if you are still out there thinking that this economic plan will strengthen anything you are sadly misguided. Do you really believe that we are all equal? Ok, in the cosmic, end of the day way, we are. But in the “we can all be smart”, educated, and have everything we want…we are not equal. Deal with it!

If you want to know why McCain’s plan will work and Obama’s will not--consider this. If you give a rich man 200,000 dollars he (or she) will invest it, make it grow, put it to work. If you give the same money to a middle class type, they will put it in the bank for the future (that never comes) as inflation eats it anyway. People are rich because they know how to handle money (this is not me by the way), not because they fucked over the poor (although they do this too!). Sure some are born with money, but they are taught how to be “Rich”.

On the positive side, both candidates are heroes. Both are moderate (at least more moderate than ever before). Maybe there is hope after all. Tomorrow maybe I’ll rant about health care for everyone.
